THE SHORT VERSION
Your documents are processed on your device. Easy PDF does not automatically upload document contents to servers operated by us. The current app does not include advertising, analytics, attribution, remote-configuration, or crash-reporting SDKs.
You do not need an account. Sharing a file, using a cloud-backed file provider, visiting this website, contacting support, or enabling Android system backup can involve other services, as explained below.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Easy PDF, also described as Easy PDF Reader & Editor (Android package com.chaochaowa.easypdf), and its official website handle information. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to ANUMR TRA, the app’s developer.
This policy describes the current version of the app and the website. It does not govern independent apps, file-storage providers, email providers, operating-system services, or websites you choose to use. You can contact us at mamiekelly1940@gmail.com.
2. Information the app handles
Documents and file information
The app accesses documents and images you select, import, capture, or permit it to discover in shared storage. This can include file contents, names, file locations or document references, formats, sizes, and timestamps. When storage access is granted, the app can scan supported shared-storage locations and build a local document index.
The app stores local document records, including imported and opened timestamps, recent-file references, bookmarks, and records used to manage renamed, deleted, or unavailable files. This information supports the document list, search, sorting, recent files, and bookmarks.
Photos, scans, signatures, and passwords
Photos you choose, pages you capture with the camera, handwritten signature strokes or images, and passwords you enter are processed on your device for the operation you request. A signature may be placed into a PDF you create; the app does not use signature input to identify or authenticate you through a biometric-identification service. Document passwords are not sent to us.
Preferences and local diagnostics
The app stores preferences such as your selected language and whether you have completed the introduction. It checks Android permission status to decide which features are available.
The app can write local diagnostic messages, such as operation results and errors, to Android system logs. These messages may include file names, document references, paths, or error details. The current app does not automatically send these logs to us or to a crash-reporting service. If you send a diagnostic report to support, review it first and remove sensitive details you do not wish to share.
3. How information is used
The app uses information locally to provide the features you use, including:
- Opening and displaying PDFs and supported Office documents.
- Finding, indexing, searching, sorting, renaming, and managing documents.
- Maintaining recent-file references, bookmarks, and preferences.
- Converting selected images or captured pages into PDFs.
- Adding a handwritten signature to a PDF page.
- Creating password-protected PDFs or unlocking a PDF using a password you provide.
- Saving generated files, sharing a selected file, and handling unavailable files or errors.
We do not operate an app account system or a document-upload service for these features. We do not use document contents, file indexes, signatures, or passwords for advertising, profiling, or model training.
4. Android permissions and your control
The app requests access through Android’s permission and file-selection interfaces. Some features will be limited if you decline or revoke access.
You can review or revoke available permissions in Android settings. You can also manage file-provider access using the controls offered by Android or the relevant provider. The app does not request your contacts, microphone, or precise location.
5. Sharing and other services
Sharing you request. When you select Share or open a document in another app, Android gives the selected recipient access to the file needed for that action. The recipient may store or transmit the file under its own privacy policy. Check the recipient before sharing sensitive documents.
File providers. If you select a document from a cloud-backed provider, that provider may download it to your device or otherwise process it to fulfil your request. The provider’s account settings and privacy policy apply to its handling of the file.
Bundled libraries. The app uses bundled document-rendering, PDF-processing, camera, database, and other software libraries to provide local features. The current build does not integrate advertising, usage-analytics, attribution, remote-configuration, or automated crash-reporting SDKs.
We do not sell personal information or disclose document contents to advertising or analytics services. If you voluntarily provide information to us, we may disclose information available to us when required by law or where reasonably necessary to address misuse, protect people, or defend legal rights.
6. Android backup and device transfer
Android backup is enabled in the current app. Depending on your Android version, device manufacturer, account settings, and system rules, eligible app data may be included in cloud backup or transferred to another device. This can include app preferences, document metadata, or other eligible app-private data.
These processes are controlled by Android and the relevant backup or device provider. They are separate from a document-upload service operated by us. Review your device’s backup settings and the provider’s policy, including the Google Privacy Policy where Google backup services are used. Local document processing should not be understood as a guarantee that system backup never copies eligible app data.
7. Storage, retention, and deletion
Documents. Original documents and generated PDFs remain where they are stored until you delete or move them, or the storage provider removes them. Generated PDFs are saved in Download/EasyPDF, a shared-storage folder. Uninstalling the app does not necessarily remove these files. Delete unwanted shared-storage files using the app’s file-management actions or your device’s file manager.
Local app data. Preferences, bookmarks, recent-file references, and document records remain in app storage while needed for the app’s operation. Records marked as deleted or unavailable may remain in the local database to prevent stale entries from reappearing. Clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling it removes app-private data according to Android’s rules; it does not necessarily delete documents stored outside that private storage. Temporary files may be removed by the app or operating system.
File deletion. Where permitted by the file provider, the app’s Delete action can delete the underlying document, rather than only remove a list entry. Read confirmation dialogs before deleting files. Other copies, shared files, exports, and provider backups must be managed separately.
Backups and correspondence. Backup copies follow your operating system or provider’s retention controls and may remain after local data is cleared. If you contact support, we retain your correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to respond, resolve the issue, and meet applicable legal obligations. You can ask us to delete information you have provided, subject to those obligations. We cannot remotely delete documents or local app data that are only on your device.
8. This website and support messages
The website’s own pages do not include advertising scripts, third-party analytics scripts, tracking pixels, user accounts, or document-upload forms. They do not use browser storage for visitor profiles or set their own tracking cookies.
The website is intended to be hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit a hosted page, Cloudflare may process technical request information, such as your IP address, requested URL, browser or user-agent information, and request time, to deliver content, maintain service, and protect against abuse. Security features may set cookies depending on the hosting configuration. Cloudflare’s handling of this information is described in its Privacy Policy.
If you contact mamiekelly1940@gmail.com, we receive the email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond to support or privacy requests. Email providers also process messages under their own policies. Please do not send confidential documents or passwords unless you decide the information is necessary for your request.
Website delivery, email, and operating-system providers may process information in countries other than your own. This does not mean that the app automatically sends your document library to those providers. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we handle support and website-related information to respond to your requests, pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, comply with legal obligations, or obtain consent where required.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
- Choose which files to open with the Android file picker and whether to grant broader storage access.
- Decline camera or notification permission, or change available permissions in Android settings.
- Manage documents, bookmarks, local app storage, exports, and backup settings on your device.
- Choose whether to share a file with another app or send a message to support.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restrictions on personal information we hold; to object to certain processing; to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; or to complain to the relevant data-protection authority. To make a request, use the contact details below. We may need enough information to verify and respond to your request. There is no app account to delete.
10. Security and children’s privacy
We use reasonable measures appropriate to the information we handle. The app relies on Android’s app-storage and permission controls. Its embedded document viewer serves bundled resources locally and blocks external web requests from the viewer. Password-protecting a selected PDF is a separate operation; installing the app does not automatically encrypt every file on your device.
No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Use a device lock, choose strong document passwords, keep backups appropriately protected, and be careful when sharing files.
Easy PDF is a general-purpose document utility and is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13 through this website or support. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can address the request in accordance with applicable law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when app features, service providers, or data practices change. The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law. Any future introduction of advertising, analytics, remote push, or other data-processing services will require a corresponding review of this policy and applicable disclosures.
